Scroll The Geeta
Terms & subscription policy
The free app
Reading the complete Bhagavad Gita — Sanskrit, transliteration, translations, word meanings and commentary — is free, without an account, for as long as the app exists. The Sanskrit text and the Swami Sivananda and Shri Purohit Swami translations are public-domain works; themes and reading plans are editorial groupings by Scroll The Geeta and are offered as a starting point, not as a claim made by the text.
Premium
Premium adds AI-assisted study modes, all reading plans and new translations as they are added. It is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play or the App Store: monthly, or yearly with a free trial where eligible. Prices are shown in the store before you confirm and include applicable taxes. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your Google Play or Apple account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled by the store under its policies.
The Gaushala commitment
For every eligible Premium purchase (a new paid subscription period that is not refunded), we allocate ₹100 from our revenue towards building a Gaushala. This is a product commitment made by the developer from revenue; it is not a donation collected from you, is not tax-deductible for you, and does not change what you pay. Allocated, transferred and spent amounts are tracked separately and published in the app once the programme is operational. Until then the app labels the programme as planned.
AI-assisted study
AI study content is generated from the verse text and traditional commentaries and may contain errors. It is offered to help you reflect, not as authoritative religious guidance. The source text and attributed translations are always shown alongside it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, attempt to extract paid content, or interfere with the service. We may suspend access for abuse.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Mumbai having jurisdiction.
